The Corporation is rendering financial assistance for
promotion of industries based on local resources and in
service sectors. The strategy of the Govt. is to create a
suitable climate for attracting investments within the State
and also from outside the State. So far, the industrial
development of the State has taken place mainly MSME sector.
In addition, there are a few medium-scale units already in
operation and a few in implementation stage.
Some of these units are: fruit processing, saw mills, wooden
furniture, bamboo handicrafts/ agarbatti stick making units,
rubber-based units, brick kilns, rice mills, hotels,
printing presses, automobile repair, servicing, tyre
re-treading, nursing homes/ diagnostic centers, Cold
Storages, PVC pipes, Spun Pipes, ACSR conductors, PCC Poles,
Steel Tubular Poles, Steel Re-rolling Mill Products,
manufacturing biscuits, Roller Flour Mill, Spices,
Handlooms, Steel Fabrication, distillery, tobacco units, LPG
bottling etc. So far the corporation has sanctioned about
Rs 38.23 crores to 1587 units up-to the FY: 2014-15.
The total disbursement has been about Rs.26.14 crores.
